Description: Bench and peace garden in Keshcarrigan, Ireland, in memory of Father Mychal Judge, the Chaplain to the New York Fire Department, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center. Judge was the son of two immigrants from County Leitrim, Ireland. On the shore of Kesh Lake on donated land once owned by the Judge family

Text: "Fr. Mychal Judge O.F.M. 1933-2001. Dedicated to the memory of Fr. Mychal Judge O.F.M. Chaplain to the New York Fire Department who was the first official casualty of the terrorist attack in New York on September 11th 2001. Fr. Mychal was the son of two Leitrim emigrans, his father Michael was born here in Keshcarrigan and his mother Mary (nee Fallon) was a native of Dumkeerin. This memorial and peace garden is sited on land forerly owned by the Judge family an will be an oasis for meditation, reflection and prayer for peace throughout the world. Fr. Mychal's Prayer: Lord, take me where You want me to go. Let me meet who You want me to meet. Tell me what You want me to say. And keep me out of your way."
